The Clinic

The Institut Parisien d’Ophtalmologie (IPO) is a 400 m² centre entirely dedicated to ophthalmology, a 5-minute walk from Gare Montparnasse in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.

Consultations, imaging (OCT, corneal topography, ultrasound), intravitreal injections and laser treatments are all performed on site. Surgery is carried out in partner clinics in Paris by the same surgeons — one medical record, one team, from diagnosis to surgery and follow-up.

Our physicians come from the Quinze-Vingts National Eye Hospital and Cochin Hospital, two of France’s leading university eye centres. They kept the hospital’s diagnostic rigour — and chose private practice to have the time to listen.

The Team

Eight ophthalmologists, all former residents and chief residents of the Quinze-Vingts and Cochin university eye hospitals, supported by a full clinical team: 10 orthoptists and optometrists, a nurse and 5 medical secretaries. Each physician has their sub-specialty; all share the same standard — take the time to explain, and let nothing slip through.
